Every score on KasinoPH comes from the same checklist. Here’s the checklist, what each part is worth, and what we can and can’t verify.
Step one is a yes-or-no question: is it licensed?
Before we look at bonuses or games, we look for the brand and its exact web address on PAGCOR’s own published lists. PAGCOR’s Electronic Gaming Licensing Department publishes the registered brands and domain names of accredited gaming system administrators and licensed casinos, and updates those lists from time to time.
- If the brand and the domain you’d actually visit are on the list, the licence check passes. We record the “as of” date printed on the list we used.
- If the brand is listed but the domain isn’t, we treat that domain as unverified. Copycat sites often borrow a real brand name.
- If neither is on the list, we don’t review it. There is no score low enough to make an unlicensed site worth recommending.
Every review shows a green “PAGCOR licence verified” badge with the date of our last check. Click it and you’ll land on the source we checked.
How the score is weighted
Licensed casinos are then scored from 0 to 10 in six categories. The overall score is a weighted average:
| Category | Weight | What we look at |
|---|---|---|
| Safety & licensing | 25% | Licence status, how clearly the operator identifies itself, account verification (KYC) rules, responsible gaming tools |
| Payments & withdrawals | 20% | Local payment options, minimum and maximum limits, stated withdrawal times, fees |
| Bonus fairness | 15% | Wagering requirements, max-bet and max-win caps, expiry, how easy the terms are to find |
| Games | 15% | Range, the providers behind them, whether RTP information is published |
| Mobile experience | 15% | Mobile site and official app, how the app is distributed, page speed on a phone |
| Support | 10% | Channels, hours, and whether help pages answer the obvious questions |
If we can’t verify a category from official sources — for example when a casino doesn’t publish its bonus terms — we leave it unscored rather than guess, and the overall score is the weighted average of the categories we could check. Each review’s score breakdown shows which categories were scored.
Safety carries the most weight on purpose. A big welcome bonus doesn’t help you if withdrawals stall or the terms change without notice.
Where our information comes from
Right now, our reviews are desk research. In plain terms, that means:
- Regulator documents — PAGCOR’s published lists and regulatory pages.
- The operator’s own pages — terms and conditions, bonus rules, payment and FAQ pages. We quote limits and fees from these, not from ads.
- Public player feedback — complaints and reports in public forums and app stores. We look for patterns, not single angry posts, and we don’t treat any of it as fact on its own.
We have not deposited real money with the casinos we review, and every review says so in its “How we reviewed this” box. When we start testing accounts ourselves, those reviews will be marked as hands-on and the box will say what we tested.
When scores change
We recheck the licence each time PAGCOR publishes an updated list, and we revisit a review when an operator changes its terms. If a licence can no longer be verified, the review comes off our lists straight away, whatever its score was.
Commissions never change a score. Read our affiliate disclosure and editorial policy for how we keep the two apart.
